Permits

 

If you are citizen of European Union country, you need only a Resident Alien Permit issued by the Foreign Police (Cizinecká policie).

If you do not come from European Union country, you can work as a foreigner in our republic legally only with a Work Permit and Employment Visa.

Work Permit

We can assist to arrange Work Permit for you. The fee for the work permit is 500 CzC. You will need an original of your TEFL (or other teaching diploma) certificate or University degree diploma. After your work permit is issued and you get a contract from your landlord, you can apply for Employement Visa.

Visa

 

If you are a citizen of European Union country, you do not need an Employment Visa.

If you do not come from European Union country, an Employment VISA application is a longer process. Either you can apply from your home country at the Czech Embassy (see web pages) or come on a tourist Visa and arrange everything here. In that case bring your birth certificate (original with your mother’s maiden name)! You need to count on some expenses for authorized translations of the documents needed for the visa application into Czech (approximately 500 CzK) and an application fee. Health care + insurance

 

The first day of the contract with us you will be insured.

There is a very comprehensive Health Care system in our republic. Medical care is on a high level and comparable to Western medical care. Both the school and you pay for your medical insurance, which covers standard care of a very good quality. We pay off the profit of the company and you pay off your salary. You will receive a Medical Card and can visit any Czech doctor you need anytime you feel you have health problem at any local Medical Centre, Emergency, Clinic or Hospital, specialist, or your local doctor in the whole territory of the Czech Republic. It is also possible to pay extra for above standard care.
