Prague is a beautiful, romantic city with its own real magic and mystery. It is famous as one of the nicest European cities and a historical and cultural capital. It was selected as a Cultural City of Europe for the year 2000. There is an old medieval center with old houses, churches and cathedrals and the Prague castle woven through by small, cobblestone streets where history itself came alive. Prague pubs, cafes, tea-rooms, galleries, exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and old, small shops all have their own inimitable atmosphere of the spirit of this place, are indescribable and must be simply experienced and shared. The “aroma” of Prague is mystery and romance.

Prague residents mostly rely on the local Public transportation system which is comprehensive and reliable. The underground Metro (subway) is fast and comfortable, and runs from 5 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It covers not only the centre of the city but also the periphery of Prague. It is possible to buy single tickets or more economical weekly, monthly, or trimester tickets. These tickets are easy to buy almost anywhere around Prague, cost about 15 USD per month, and are valid also for trams and buses.
It is easy to depart from Prague by buses and trains that run very frequently from train stations and bus stations right from the centre of Prague. Thanks to this transportation system many people live outside the city centre and commute to work daily.

As far as discovering the Czech Republic is concerned, it is very easy and affordable to take a bus or train and visit any part of Bohemia and Moravia. Finding accommodation that is both comfortable and affordable is always possible.
It is also easy to reach other central European countries such as Poland or Hungary and destinations further afield in Western Europe. There is an excellent rail system and these days there are many budget airlines such as www.skyeurope.com.
